My journey in the optical field first accelerated when I took over Infocus Opticians 8 years ago. The beauty of working in a world that deals with the health and comfort of a person is that it is a constant possibility to be able to look out for someone else.

 

Being able to see clearly impacts almost every part of our daily lives. It is important to me to be able to make available incredible eyecare and eyewear options, that allow a person to experience life in the best way possible. 

 

In our busy lives and endless lists of appointments, our eyes can often get forgotten. Statistics show that the two leading causes of blindness worldwide are cataracts and uncorrected refractive error- both conditions are extremely easy to detect and correct through an annual eye examination. 

 

One of our primary goals at Infocus Opticians is to encourage each individual to come in for their eye tests on a regular basis- that way a thorough check of their eyes can pick up anything that may need to be corrected.

 

Exciting projects: Over the last couple of years, I have enjoyed working with and creating teams to set up voluntary eye camps abroad in disadvantaged countries, where we have tested hundreds of people’s eyes and supplied them with glasses.
