Applied Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice from the Institute of Functional Medicine

The four years Masters programme at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine has provided Zainali with a strong in depth understanding of the body. With his interest in sport, he decided to write his dissertation about hamstring injury prevention in footballers and completed his degree with a Masters in Osteopathy.

During his first year as a graduate osteopath he embarked on an internship program with the Osteopathic Sports Care Association (OSCA). The position involved working alongside GB athletes
and provided a great opportunity to learn from Olympic medallists, coaches and S&C practitioners. He has since then become a Fellow of Applied Functional Science from the internationally renowned Gray Institute of Functional Transformation (GIFT). This knowledge has allowed Zainali to assess and treat according to your functional goals and abilities, in-cooperating 3D movement assessments and functional exercises.

Zainali is an accredited Golf Performance Specialist from the Gray Institute. This unique approach has enabled him to assist golfers in their mobility and stability as it relates to golf biomechanics.

You can find more about this approach on our instagram page @12th_health or by visiting our sports performance page.

Most recently, he has embarked on the Institute of Functional Medicine programme beginning with the AFMCP course. This avenue has broadened his understanding and knowledge of the integrated systems of our human body. It has deepened his Osteopathic treatment to be able to address
chronic disease and pain.

Zainali is a fully registered osteopath via the General Osteopathic Council and the British Osteopathic Association (BOA).
